Taste Gran Canaria is the gastronomic tourism brand of the
Gran Canaria Tourist Board, which is part of the Taste Spain Association.
It is the first national platform with an international vocation that promotes tourism and gastronomy in our country. It is made up of the Hospitality Industry of Spain , the Federation of Associations of Cooks and Confectioners of Spain (FACYRE) , the European Organization of
Cooks (Euro-Toques)
, the Spanish Association of destinations for the promotion of gastronomic tourism and Paradores de Turismo , and has the institutional support of Turespaña (Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism) .


The networking of the five partners has allowed the birth of Saborea España with a common goal: to transform gastronomic products into unique and specialized tourist experiences of great value. A different way of knowing the destinations, a special way of savoring each trip that goes beyond gastronomic tourism.

OBJECTIVES


All the agents involved in Saborea España work towards common objectives:

  • Convert tourism products into gastronomic experiences.

  •  Expand the concept of gastronomic tourism by working with the concept of authentic Spanish gastronomic culture linked to the territory.

  •  Expand content and add value with respect to current proposals.

  •  Incorporate new uses to the primary sector linking them to the tourism sector.

  • These complementary uses should help the sustainability of the primary sector.

  •  Promote promotion and marketing in a more ambitious and innovative way, identifying and capturing new markets.
